Academic Promotions 2020- Workshop 26th June

Dear Faculty Colleagues

As indicated in the Vice-Chancellor’s email on May 19, the 2020 round of Academic Promotions will proceed with the revised timeline as communicated in March. More details for the 2020 Academic Promotions are available on the new hub website.

Please note that Alfred Deakin Professor nominations have been suspended this year and will recommence in 2021.

2020 Academic Promotions workshops

Workshops for potential Academic Promotions applicants will be held in June.

The delivery of these workshops is revised and based on the current climate and further updates  will be provided when available.

A webinar for potential Academic Promotions applicants will be held on:

  • Friday 26 June, 11 am – 12 pm via BB-Collaborate

The link to the webinar will be distributed closer to the session. Questions are  encouraged and can be submitted prior to ensure the organising team is able to respond accordingly and capture all relevant information. There will be limited opportunity to respond to questions submitted during the webinar.

This webinar has been designed to provide you with valuable information regarding the process of applying for Academic Promotion in 2020. The webinar, led by Professor Liz Johnson (Deputy Vice Chancellor, Education), will outline the promotion process, address topics such as the meeting with the promotions committee, and provide guidance on how to develop your applications including evidencing your teaching.

If you are considering applying for academic promotions this year you are encouraged to attend.
