This work examines Hannah Arendt’s concept of ‘natality’ and utilises it to expand our understanding of self-creation. Historically, philosophical scholarship has focused on death and mortality, making scholars indifferent to another important life structure: birth. This work examines how Arendt’s concept of ‘natality’ fits in with and impacts philosophy’s death focused scholarship.
