Dr Cameo Dalley published an article in the Australian Journal of Social Issues titled ‘The ‘White Card’ is grey: Surveillance, endurance and the Cashless Debit Card’. The article uses an ethnographic approach to welfare conditionality to analyse the unintended impacts of punitive policy against Aboriginal people in a remote setting in Northern Australia.

Dr Dara Conduit and Professor Shahram Akbarzadeh have published a new paper in Democratization on public opinion polling in the 2017 Iranian presidential election, titled ‘Pre-election polling and the democratic veneer in a hybrid regime.’ The full text is available here https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/abs/10.1080/13510347.2020.1725477?journalCode=fdem20

Prof Greg Barton and A/Prof Anna Halafoff, together with colleagues Prof. Douglas Ezzy and Rebecca Banham (University of Tasmania), Prof. Gary Bouma (Monash University), Prof. Lori Beaman (University of Ottawa) and Prof. Robert Jackson (Warwick University) have a new publication on Religious Diversity in Australia: Rethinking Social Cohesion in the journal Religions.
