Australian Short Story Festival. 18-20 October at Hawthorn Arts Festival

The annual Australian Short Story Festival is back this October and for the first time it is being held in Melbourne. From the 18th-20th of October at the Hawthorn Arts Festival, you can join a number of great authors as they discuss short forms of writing, including short stories, comics and essays.

You can also take advantage of writing workshops with the likes of Maria Tumarkin, author of the multi-award-winning Traumascapes and Axiomatic. Maria Tumarkin will also appear on a panel alongside the SCCA’s Associate Professor Maria Takolander. SCCA sessional tutor Dr Jo Langdon will also be involved in a panel session, and the SCCA PhD candidate Jack Kirne will be reading his work alongside a great lineup of fiction writers.
