Our work is organised around Impact Areas, which are revised following research and wide consultation with stakeholders as part of our strategic planning process.
 
The Impact Areas are currently alleviating homelessness; increasing community resilience to withstand major social and health challenges; reducing urban impacts on the natural environment; and reducing education and economic inequality.

All applicants must also focus on at least one of Healthway’s strategic prioritiesincreasing healthy eating, increasing physical activity, improving mental health, preventing harm from alcohol, creating a smoke-free WA and Aboriginal health.

NOTE: At least one Chief Investigator must be based and reside in WA for the duration of the grant.  The first named Chief Investigator and the administering organisation can be based outside of WA as long as the central focus of the research is on WA.
