Deakin Cultural Inclusion Seminar Series

Deakin Cultural Inclusion Seminar Series

Hello colleagues,

I am excited to share with you a new initiative, the inaugural Deakin Cultural Inclusion Seminar Series. The series consists of three one-hour seminars targeted to an academic audience. I am a member of the Cultural Diversity and Inclusion working group and we developed the seminar series concept to enable academic knowledge to be shared within the Deakin community. The working group selected 3 topics that would be of benefit to Deakin academics and cover different areas of cultural.

Improving our cultural inclusion is a big part of increasing participation for everyone within the Deakin community. This seminar series will build cultural competence for academic staff and help build a more respectful and inclusive broader community.

All seminars can be attended either in person or via live-stream. Please see email below for event details for all three seminars. I would really appreciate your assistance in sharing this seminar series with your internal networks to attend one or all seminars.

Kind regards,

Helen Andrew

Cultural Diversity and Inclusion Working Group member
