Dr Sarah Hayes was featured in an article in The Herald Sun, ‘Victorians have been ‘tidying up’ since 1800s, Deakin archaeologist says‘. She also wrote an op-ed piece published on the ADI website, ‘Should it spark joy?: Australia’s long legacy of decluttering‘. 

Professor Fethi Mansouri has co-edited a new book, ‘Contesting the Theological Foundations of Islamism and Violent Extremism‘ featuring chapters written by Professor Greg Barton and Professor Ihsan Yilmaz.

Dr Anthony Ware & Dr Costas Laoutides have just published a new journal article: ‘Myanmar’s ‘Rohingya’ Conflict: Misconceptions & complexity’, Asian Affairs, Vol.50, No.1.

Dr Anthony Ware & Dr Costas Laoutides’ book, Myanmar’s Rohingya Conflict (Oxford UP & Hurst, 2018), has been chosen to be featured at the Irrawaddy Literary Festival in Mandalay, Myanmar. This is the largest international literary festival in Myanmar, and given the controversial nature of the book inside Myanmar, a great opportunity. The committee will fly Anthony & Costas to Myanmar, to talk about their research and the book at the festival from 9-11 November 2019.

A/Prof. Maurizio Meloni will be presenting his new book Impressionable Biologies, at the HDR summer school for Faculty of Arts and Education research students at Waterfront Campus on Friday 8 February.
