Pokemon Go took augmented reality (AR) into the mainstream. Both PlayStation and Sony have launched low cost virtual reality (VR) headsets, making VR accessible to the masses. In between, or perhaps beyond both of these technologies, is mixed reality (MR), which sees the blending of the physical and the digital in a way that goes beyond simple graphic overlays of the virtual onto the real. These technologies are already changing the way we work, learn and play.

From safety training for high risk work environments, including astronauts, to enabling truly location-independent work, Dr Kate Raynes-Goldie will talk about where we are and where we are potentially headed, along with some of the privacy and health challenges ahead. The day will also include VR demos, collaborative play, and discussions.
