Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation Grants

Applications open June 2017

The Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation offers various grants that aim to provide life opportunities, promote social inclusion and cohesion, build company resources and improve quality of life within the community. Applications for the current round of two of the foundation’s grant schemes open in June 2017. These schemes are:

  • Innovation Grants – funding for up to $150,000 for 1–2 years; and
  • Exploration Grants – funding for up to $50,000 for 1 year.

The foundation’s grants program focuses on four key Impact Areas:

  1. Education & Employment;
  2. Healthy & Cohesive Communities;
  3. Homelessness & Affordable Housing; and
  4. Sustainable Melbourne.

Eligibility:

To be eligible to apply for a grant, an organisation must be able to demonstrate that its application aligns with one or more of the above key Impact Areas. Additionally, the organisation must be endorsed as a Tax Concession Charity (TCC). For Exploration grants, an additional requirement is that the organisation applying must be endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR). Please note that Deakin University is endorsed as both a TCC and a DGR.
