David Boarder Giles (Lecturer in Anthropology) and Timothy Neale (ADI Research Fellow) have released the first two episodes of their new monthly Anthropology@Deakin podcast. Each episode of the podcast features a conversation with a presenter from the Anthropology Seminar Series as well as a guest from Deakin University. In the first episode Timothy, David and Sabra Thorner discuss David’s research on waste, food sharing, and capitalism’s connection to abjection, while in the second episode Timothy, David, Emma Kowal and Eben Kirskey (UNSW) discuss Eben’s research, multispecies ethnography, and why an anthropologist would build a fridge for a frog.
