Day or night: prepare for exams in the library

Study Week kicks off on Monday, and it’s the busiest time of the trimester in your library! Whether you need a quiet place to study, specialist guidance from library staff or access to digital and print resources – the library is here to help you succeed on your exams.

For both Cloud and campus-based students, Library Chat is available 24 hours a day to answer any library-related questions you may have. You can find the best resources and information for your subject area by accessing the Resource Guides on the library website.

At Burwood Campus Library, we’re expanding the 24-hour study spaces to include level three as well as level two (the entrance level) from 30 September to 18 October. This means you will have access to all the study rooms, booths and collection items on both floors any time of day. Our helpful library staff will be here until midnight each night, with Security taking over after that.

As an added bonus, Corner Café adjacent to Burwood Library has extended their hours to 11pm on weeknights only from 7–18 October,  keeping you supplied with caffeine and fresh food during those late-night study sessions.

Waterfront Library will remain open to Deakin students and staff 24 hours a day. If you’re struggling to find a place to sit, remember that from now until 18 October, you can book a study desk in our quiet study area for up to four hours per day!

After the successful trial in Trimester 1, Waurn Ponds Library will again expand its 24-hour spaces during Study Week and both Exam Weeks to include all of level two! In addition to the 24-hour Learning Space next to the cafe, you’ll be able to use any of the hundreds of seats – including study rooms and booths – throughout level two. You’ll also have access to the toilets and other facilities in the library all night long.

Make the most of your library over the next few weeks – and good luck with your exams!
