This year PLACE Society held their annual ball at the Novotel on the Geelong Waterfront. The room was transformed into a winter wonderland with an abundance of hand crafted snowflakes to set the scene. It was an intimate event with students from architecture, construction management, landscape architecture and planning in attendance, as well as their friends and partners from outside of the faculty. Moving on from last year’s cocktail event, the Yule Ball had the best of both worlds with roaming canapés to start and then a two course sit down dinner, providing a great opportunity for students to mingle and interact with new people. It was a great way to start the intra-trimester break and was considered a success by all who attended.

A big thank you goes out to everyone who supported event and helped it run smoothly, in particular the School of Architecture and Built Environment and BldEng for their major sponsorship contributions. We can only hope that next year’s ball is even bigger and better!
