Once again a group of construction management students made the finals of the CIOB MERIT Student Competition and won a trip to Hong Kong to participate in the finals. This competition involves teams forming a construction company and competing against each other to price jobs, hire staff, manage finances, advertise and do everything a real construction company would do. The Deakin team competed against 5 other universities in the final and also participated in an industry forum, site visits and many social events. It is a great experience for our students and leads to opportunities for global connections and possible employment.
