Relocated  in 2015, the a+b Workshop now provides students, academics and researcher with a place to fabricate models in a hands-on environment encouraging experimentation with technology, materials and processes of making. The interdisciplinary space provides access to a variety of digital and analogue tools with large benches to facilitate collaboration on projects.

The Workshop is located in Building E at the south westerly corner of Carpark 3 at the Geelong Waterfront Campus. Entry to this carpark can be by either Smythe Street or Brougham Street.

The Workshop can hold tutorials groups up to 60 students at a time and has two full time trade qualified staff members available to assist and supervise students.

As well as a full selection of hand tools, carpentry, battery and electric tools the Workshop includes state-of-the-art electronic equipment including; CN Router, Laser and in 3D printers, Makerbots, a 5th Generation Makerbot, Powder Printer and a Fortus 250.
