Mainstreaming Diverse Genders and Sexualities to Faith Communities

This talk will report challenges and successes in programs GAYa NUSANTARA and other organizations have been carrying out proactively since 2017 with Muslim and Protestant communities and leaders.

They used gender and sexuality training workshops; knowledge production and contestation on the interstices of faith and gender and sexuality, involving a progressive, humanist, and queer approaches to theology and holy texts; and publication and media production for a wider audience. Sample videos from the programs will be shown for illustration.
