Capture Art and Performance Workshop Day.

Join our workshops in performance, visual arts and photography running all day at
10.00-11.30, 12.00- 1.30 and 2.00-3.30.

Take advantage of 1:1 feedback on your folio or art pieces available on the day.

Chat with staff and current students in the Art and Performance team.
Aimed at 16 years and above. Art materials supplied.

2018 competition open

Are you a creative? Why not submit your work to Deakin University’s Capture Art and Performance Prize and see where your talents could lead!
Cash prizes, exhibition and workshop opportunities available.

The Capture Art and Performance Prize will give 12 finalists the opportunity to have their work exhibited in a professional environment. Finalists will participate in the Capture Art and Performance Exhibition at The Project Space, Deakin University Geelong Waterfront Campus gallery.

All Capture entrants will have one of their works exhibited on digital screens alongside the 12 finalists.

The Capture Art and Performance Prize is open to all permanent Australian residents aged 16 years and over with the exception of Deakin University staff, students, and their immediate family.

Entries close: 5pm Wednesday 29 August

2017 competition

The 2017 Capture Photography prize has opened! Entries close 4 October 2017. The competition is open to all VCE students and emerging artists aged 17-25 and is free to enter.

This year our first Deakin Photography Graduates from the Waterfront will be exhibiting alongside ‘Capture’ finalists together with the national university photo competition, ‘Exposure’, finalists.

Our esteemed judges include Lisa Sullivan, curator of the Geelong Gallery, Kate Robertson, contemporary photographic artist and Anne Scott Wilson, Lecturer Art and Performance at Deakin and artist in the expanded field of photography.

All capture entrants will have one of their works exhibited on our nocturnal screens alongside the 8 finalists.
