NEW Workshop for Business and Law HDR students

Tap into the experience of Faculty Professorial Research Fellow Brent McFerren visiting from Canada, who has been highly successful in publishing in the top journals in his field!

This workshop will include modules on how to structure an academic paper and best practices for building your writing skills.  This is an opportunity to ask questions and gain inside knowledge into this process and the requirements first-hand.

Professor Brent McFerran is Professorial Research Fellow in the Faculty of Business and Law at Deakin University and W.J. VanDusen Professor at the Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University. Brent’s research examines social and interpersonal influences in consumer behaviour, as well as moral judgments and behaviour. His research has been published in leading outlets in both marketing and psychology, and he was awarded the Society for Consumer Psychology Early Career Contribution Award. He was also previously named a Young Scholar by the Marketing Science Institute. He is an Associate Editor at Journal of Consumer Research and Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science and was previously at Journal of Consumer Psychology. He currently serves on the editorial review boards of Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, Journal of Consumer Psychology, Journal of Retailing, and Marketing Letters.
