Nvivo workshop @ Geelong Waterfront – Thurs 31 October

Deakin Library Research have organised a FREE NVivo workshop at the Waterfront Campus Library.

NVivo: Code to the Node

Description

NVivo provides a comprehensive overview of your dataset and imported files to help manage your data and draw out themes and concepts.

This session provides an introduction to using NVivo to code your qualitative data. This session is aimed at beginners who have only just started to use NVivo, or who are interested in learning more about how the program can be used for thematic analysis. This session does not replace the comprehensive NVivo introduction sessions offered by Faculties and is a stand alone session.

You’ll learn:

  • Creating your NVivo project
  • Types of data that can be imported
  • Developing nodes and node relationships
  • Memoing
  • Developing Boolean search strategies
  • Developing word maps
  • Developing nodes and coding
