Alice Skye

Alice Skye is a singer-songwriter and Wergaia woman who grew up among the sandstone mountains and wildflowers of the Grampians. She released her debut album, Friends with Feelings, in April 2018, which was featured on Triple J Unearthed. Her stripped-back piano melodies elevate the gentle moodiness of her songwriting, transforming her once-bedroom scribblings into well-crafted and articulated lyrics on love, loss and life. She recently played Falls Festival 2019 and you might have heard her on Triple J, Double J, ABC Local Radio, Fbi Radio or community radio. She was also the inaugural recipient of the ‘First Peoples Emerging Artist Award’ on International Women’s Day. She’ll be playing both Burwood and Geelong for Dragon Festival.

You can listen to Alice Skye online here.

Benny Walker

Hailing from regional Victoria, Yorta Yorta singer-songwriter Benny Walker is the real deal. His love songs and epic tales are mixed with passion for people, the land, summer vibes and deep grooves that reach the soul. He won Best Aboriginal Act at the The Age/Music Victoria awards in 2016 and has recently played some of the country’s favourite festivals including Woodford, Byron Bay Blues Fest, Festival of King Island, Deni Rhythm, Blues and Jazz, Blue Mountains and St Kilda Festival. He’s been featured on Triple J Unearthed and has performed alongside some of Australia’s finest, including Archie Roach, Alex Lloyd, Blue King Brown and Tim Rogers. Benny will bring his solo acoustic set to Dragon Festival in Burwood.
