Deakin PhD Facebook Groups

Did you know that Facebook can be a helpful resource for PhD students? 

Join the Deakin Higher Degree by Research Facebook community to network with other Deakin research degree students and keep up-to-date with news and events, and forthcoming workshops and seminars.  Watch out also for announcements on new internship and industry placement opportunities.

Deakin’s PhD Society also has a Facebook group – join to receive notifications of social events and get togethers.

The DUPHDS hosts regular social events where you can meet other PhD students – coming up is a ‘Finger-food and chill’ evening on 14 March 2019, from 7pm to 10.30pm – all details on Facebook – and they recently held a free coffee catch up at FooMoo.  

The Thesis Whisperer also has a Facebook page.  This well-known blog by Dr Inger Mewburn, Director of research training at the ANU, posts interesting news and tips on research, writing, and the PhD experience.
