Trimester 1 Highlights 

Networking breakfast with PwC 

In March, Beta Alpha Psi participated in an exclusive networking event with PwC. Members had the opportunity to network with current and former graduates, whilst gaining an insight into the recruitment process adopted by PwC.

Networking Breakfast 

Our Chapter held an exclusive networking breakfast with Mr Andrew Conway, the CEO of the Institute of Public Accountants. This gave members the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the accounting industry through Mr Conway’s own career path and experiences.

2018 Regional Meeting 

The executive committee travelled to Wellington, New Zealand for the annual regional meeting. The meeting hosted an array of expert-led sessions, keynote speakers, industry-relevant leadership activities and networking opportunities.

    

Community Involvement 

Over Trimester 1, Beta Alpha Psi engaged in initiatives like donating blood to the Australian Red Cross and volunteering at Starlight Day, highlighting its emphasis on servicing the community.

   

Trimester 2 Highlights 

CPA Professional Event 

In August, Beta Alpha Psi attended an event run by CPA. Members had the opportunity to learn about the future of the accounting industry and the impacts of technology on future careers. They were also given a presentation on how to create a professional resume and LinkedIn profile.

Ernst & Young (EY) Employability Workshop 

The Chapter held an exclusive event with EY which was advantageous for members as they were advised as to how to apply for various programs and how to structure an appropriate resume.
