Deakin University’s School of Architecture and Built Environment’s annual student exhibition showcases outstanding work from architecture and landscape architecture students, at both an undergraduate and master degree level.

At Paperspace 2019, we can see the judgements and positions of the students through the work presented. The exchange of opinion about public life and the common world within the walls of Deakin’s School of Architecture and Built Environment develops fragments in judgement of ‘how’ and ‘why’ architecture is produced and subsequently the decision of ‘what’ is to be produced and appear in the world.

A map of drawings, models and folios will be exhibited in fragmented directions to display the different directions being pursued by the students. These are not submissions, rather productions of work. Work with direction from the school, and each other, moving in fragmented directions toward an architecture.

PaperSpace Melbourne will be exhibited from the 4th to the 8th of November 2019 in the Atrium at Federation Square. The exhibition will then move up to Geelong, running from the 12th to the 22nd of November 2019 (Weekdays only) at the A+B Gallery, Level 4, Building D, at the Deakin Geelong Waterfront campus.
