- This joyful artifact is comes from the Allambie swimming pool.In 1969, a heated swimming pool, was provided largely as a result of the efforts of the ‘Allambie’ Occupational Auxiliary, came into use. (This became a fully enclosed facility in 1971).The original water slide from this pool has been stored on site since the demolition of the pool building. (Deakin University Archives)
