2021 Three Minute Thesis Winners Announced

The 2021 3MT final for Business and Law is a wrap!

Video entries were viewed by the HDR cohort and the judging panel, and the winners announced at an online catchup on 30 June.  Voting on the People’s Choice Award was limited to the HDR cohort.

Our winners – who will now represent the Faculty in the Deakin 3MT final – are:

• First place and  People’s Choice Winner – Thi Hoa (Hannah) Nguyen
• Runner up – Sidharth Murthy

As well as celebrating the winners – and all the entrants – we enjoyed being able to introduce our new HDR Support Coordinator, Jen O’Connor (taking over from Elizabeth Fitzgerald, who has retired), our ‘newish’ Research Technical Coordinator Matthew Wong, catching up with the BL Liaison Librarians team, and a quick trivia quiz prepared by Shruti and hosted by Sidharth, with a heavy focus on the expert field of . . . Netflix shows!  It seems that for most of us, COVID lockdowns have certainly led to a greater knowledge of our old and new favourite TV shows – a bit of escapism, from the comfort of the couch.

The University 3MT Final will be held on Wednesday 19 August 2020 at 3pm – 5pm (online).
