Clinical Ethics: End-of-Life Care
Deakin Bioethics held an inaugural Clinical Ethics in End-of-Life Care on 16 December 2024. This was a one day, fully catered, interprofessional short course focused on clinical ethics in the context of end-of-life care for adult patients. The course was designed by Deakin Bioethics in collaboration with providers of the End of Life Law for Clinicians course, and clinicians involved in end-of-life care.
The course will be held again on March 31st, 2025. Participants will explore the foundations of clinical ethics, with a focus on particular challenges for those working in end-of-life care.
Providing a practical introduction to ethical decision-making, the course will facilitate learning through the use of case studies and interprofessional, facilitated small group discussions.
