Deakin Bioethics represents a diverse team of interdisciplinary scholars exploring ethical questions that arise from continuing advances in medicine, science and technology. We collaborate with scholars, researchers, policy makers and practitioners working in a range of fields.
Our goal is to identify and investigate contemporary and emerging ethical concerns and dilemmas in society, helping to make sense of the ethical nuances and to inform and guide decision-making in ways that enable our local, national and global communities to flourish.
Deakin Bioethics draws upon a range of expertise in theoretical philosophy and bioethics, qualitative and quantitative methods used in social sciences and empirical bioethics, medicine, science, public health, health humanities and education. We are committed to a community-engaged and person-centered approach to research and decision-making. Our team of bioethicists is available for grant collaborations, consulting and educational workshops.
