Organised annually by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, the Plain English Speaking Award is a public-speaking competition for high school students. Join a line-up of passionate students as they take to the stage to share their words and wisdom for the 2022 Plain English Speaking Awards state final.

ABOUT

For some, public speaking means extra homework and sweaty palms. For these determined speechmakers, it represents the chance to claim the title of the Victorian State Champion.

Join a line-up of passionate students as they take to the stage to share their words and wisdom for the 2022 Plain English Speaking Award state final.

Organised annually by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority, the Plain English Speaking Award is a public-speaking competition for high school students. The awards celebrate creative thinking, general knowledge, and clear, direct communication, providing teens with a platform to talk about the things that matter to them – from feminism, to religion, to power and privilege.

This event is suitable for teens aged 13–18 years old.
