Paul Venzo – Living & Loving in Diversity – New Essay

Hats off to our colleague Paul Venzo, who has a chapter in a new book celebrating multicultural and multi-faith experiences of queerness in Australia.

Edited by Maria Pallotta-Chiarolli, Living and Loving in Diversity: An Anthology of Australian Multicultural Queer Adventures (Wakefield Press, 2018) brings together 60 voices from across the spectrum of sexualities and genders, families and relationships. Offering vital insights into what it’s like living outside Australia’s white, heteronormative bubble, this collection is an important contribution to the national conversation.

Paul’s essay combines poetry and ideas about identity and sexuality that relate to his links with Italy. Other contributors include Annette Xiberras, Tony Ayres, Benjamin Law, Mama Alto, Anton Enus, Christos Tsiolkas, Sally Goldner and Alyena Mohummadally.
