Ophelia Revisited – IWD Photo Exhibition

To celebrate International Women’s Day 2018, staff member Cassandra Atherton took part in a photographic exhibition by Donna Edwards, which explored Deakin women as strong, multi-faceted individuals. Cassandra was photographed in the Waurn Ponds lake as ‘Ophelia Revisted’, a modernisation of Millais’ painting that connects her work as a prose poet with her interest in Lizzie Siddal as Pre-Raphelite muse.
