Kristine Moruzi

Kris researches and teaches historical and contemporary children’s and young adult literature. Recent publications include Philanthropy in Children’s Periodicals, 1840-1930 and The Edinburgh History of Children’s Periodicals , both with Edinburgh University Press in 2024.

She has specific research interests in the following areas: nineteenth-century children’s literature; contemporary young adult and children’s literature; gender and sexuality in texts for young people; the Gothic; fairy tales; and children’s print culture.
