Alyson Miller
Alyson researches and writes on literature of extremities, focussing on scandal, censorship, and taboo. She is the author of Haunted by Words: Scandalous Texts, and an editor of the collected essays, The Unfinished Atomic Bomb: Shadows and Reflections. Alyson is also a prose poet, with three collections—Dream Animals (Dancing Girl Press, 2014), Pika-don (with Cassandra Atherton and Phil Day, Mountains Brown Press, 2018), and Strange Creatures (Recent Work Press, 2019)—as well as publications in numerous journals and anthologies.
Her areas of research include literature and scandal/taboo, prose poetry, and atomic (bomb) literature. She is on the editorial board of Literature and Librarianship, a member of the Contemporary Histories Research Group, and a judge for the annual Global Undergraduate Awards.
