Award – Ellen Smith – 2019 NLA Fellowship

Great news for casual staff member Dr Ellen Smith, who has been awarded a 2019 National Library of Australia Fellowship. These sought-after fellowships enable researchers and writers to access the library’s archives during a three-month residency in Canberra.

Ellen’s research project, “Queers in Exile: Sexuality and Ex-Patriotism in Mid-Century Australian Literature”, sits at the intersection of literary studies and gender & sexuality studies. Her NLA research will be supported by the Ray Mathew and Eva Kollsman Trust for Research in Australian Literature. Congratulations Ellen! Read more about the fellowships here >
