Effective transition practices have at their base a commitment to build respectful and reciprocal relationships. (Dockett & Perry, 2014)
That’s why in 2017, The Department of Education and Training and Deakin University are offering a free, joint professional learning opportunity for educators, teachers and other transition professionals to build connections, share good practice and learn about the new Transition to School resources.
Shared professional learning workshops will be delivered across Victoria in Terms 2 and 3, 2017, to help early childhood education and care services, primary schools and outside school hours care services to get ready for a successful transition in 2018.
You will get the most out of the workshop if you attend with colleagues from your local early childhood services and schools.
Workshops will be conducted in multiple locations across every region of Victoria.
