Peer Programs Network – WA Chapter Update

The WA chapter is a new addition to the Peer Programs Network in 2019. The chapter is headed by Amanda Smith, Peer Learning Coordinator at Curtin University. The chapter’s first meeting was held on Thursday 23 May and saw fifteen staff from six institutions attend. All attendees have been added to the PPN SharePoint. The chapter plans to focus on sharing information and best practice. An initial survey of key interest and development areas has gone out to members, at present “Strategies for boosting student engagement” and “Online peer mentoring and peer learning” are the leading areas of interest. The next chapter meeting will be Friday 12 July.
