Meeting Notes NSW Feb 2019

NSW P4P Network

2018 saw a great start to the NSW P4P Network with a workshop theme ‘Training’ run in Sydney, hosted by Dan Smith, University of Sydney, Student Experience Programs Coordinator.  It was great to meet so many peers from a variety of educational institutions across NSW, both face-to-face and via Skype. We were even lucky enough to have some people Skype in from South Australia! It was great to come together to share ideas, knowledge and resources on all things ‘Training’.

In 2019, members of the NSW P4P Network have expressed interest in running more workshops, including topics such as, ‘Best Practice Guidelines’, ‘Evaluation & Reporting’, ‘Mentor Recognition and Reward’. Other members have expressed interest in collaborating together to do a research project on Mentoring, and doing a NSW Mentoring Conference. So there are lots of exciting projects planned for 2019!

The NSW P4P Network Ambassadors currently consists of a group of seven peers from a range of NSW university, who meet monthly to arrange projects for the network. If you would like to be a NSW P4P Network Ambassador, please email Katie Yamaguchi, [email protected] for more information. You can also email Katie, if you would like to become a member of the NSW P4P Network to receive access to the National P4P Network Sharepoint and directory, access to mentoring resources, and invitations to upcoming events and workshops.
