In October one of our Bachelor of Early Childhood Education students, Bonnie-Rose Taffe was invited to represent Deakin at the Australian Technology Network Conference in Canberra.
The student panel discussed motivations to take up higher education, classes returning to on campus learning and supports needed for students. As a First Nations Early Years educator Bonnie-Rose was able to highlight the educator crisis in the industry and also voice the call for more funding for First Nation’s higher education programs particularly post graduate opportunities.
Bonnie-Rose was invited to represent Deakin as one of the top performing students not only at the institute but across the university based on her outstanding unit grades.
