Deakin University’s online MBA program has just been ranked among the Top 25 in the world – and the best in Australia – by prestigious university rankings organisation QS.
QS Rankings on Thursday released their Distance–Online MBA Rankings for 2015, naming the 25 best online MBA programs in the world. Deakin University’s cloud learning MBA program ranked in at 21st in the world and is the only Australian program to make the global list.
Online MBA courses are becoming increasingly popular among students around the world, with QS noting that the percentage of MBA applicants interested in online or distance courses have more than tripled over the last eight years.
Deakin University has long been a leader in online learning, and the University’s innovative CloudDeakin online learning platform enables students to get a full, immersive experience while giving students the flexibility to study when and where it is most convenient. Deakin’s online MBA gives students remote access to all of the professional development expertise offered by Deakin’s highly rated and accredited on-campus MBA program.
‘Deakin’s solid investment in online learning – that connects learners across the world with industry and academic experts – is one of the features rated consistently high by our MBA students – and their employers,’ said Deakin MBA Program Director Dr Colin Higgins.
‘Our MBA is designed to fit around you – we know you’re busy, but we also know you want to invest in your career,’ he added. ‘You can study with us online and have the same quality learning experience as those who study with us face to face. It’s great to have our strategic priority in online learning recognised by QS.’
The Deakin MBA provides a wide range of study options and offers more than 20 specialisations. The MBA program enables students to develop transferable skills highly valued in today’s ever-changing workplace, such as independence, initiative, high order communication and problem solving skills, leadership, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Deakin’s MBA program already has a 5-star rating from QS and is the flagship program of the Deakin Business School. The Deakin MBA is also one of just three Australian MBA programs to receive EPAS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EPAS is an international quality benchmark for business programs worldwide.
In ranking the Deakin online MBA as being among the best in the world, QS gave particularly high marks for the program’s success in drawing students from all around the world.
‘Today’s business professionals are global,’ notes Dr Higgins, ‘and our MBA is about enabling you to study and invest in your career from anywhere in the world. At any one time – studying online with us means you’re studying with students in New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sydney and London
‘We have built our “worldly MBA” around the realities of global business. We all have to work across the globe to get work done. The Deakin MBA not only teaches about working globally, but our online platform enables you to build real skills in this area – every day and with every assignment.’
