The Bachelor of Creative Arts (Animation and Motion Capture) was launched in 2013.

Motion capture is an integral part of the animation, filmmaking, special effects and game design industries. This degree integrates studies in motion capture and animation, offering units in motion capture basics, 2D and 3D animation techniques.

Students train in the state of the art Deakin Motion.Lab facility, learning from the team of experienced professionals that has delivered such internationally successful motion capture projects as Nocturnal Migration for Toohey’s Beer, created by Brisbane visual effects company Altv.fx and awarded a Cannes Silver Lion in 2012.
