Teaching awards for members of the maths team

Julien Ugon, Kerri Morgan and Simon James, along with colleagues Laura Tubino and Andrew Cain, have received Deakin’s 2021 Jim and Alison Leslie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Teaching and Learning.  This Award recognises the Lifelong Learning through Mathematics team for their outstanding contribution to building students lifelong learning skills through the design and implementation of holistic learning experiences that foster self-efficacy, evaluative judgement, and personal agency.

This award was announced at Deakin’s Learning and Teaching conference earlier this month.  Other winners of the Education and Employability awards can be found here (Deakin Staff Sharepoint).

The team has also recently received an ASCILITE Innovation Award, which was announced at the 2021 conference held at University of New England.
