We work with both commercial operations and private customers. Some people will ask for customised designs, others may wish for fabric purchases by the metre of materials we have already produced. We are about being flexible, able to suit our clients.
Our most popular design at the moment is the African range, which is not only for our print fabric designs but also integrated into our hand-worked accessories and decorative items. Our production is local, based in Bilby, and we are a team of skilled people.
We are always keen to talk to new clients about inspiring projects and positive collaborations. Please go to Contact Us if you want to talk about pricing options.
What we can do for you:
- Create a custom design – for accessories, for decorative items and for fabrics
- Develop concepts and the preliminary artwork through to final production for customized accessories and decorative items – cushions, lampshades, placemats/coasters and cards
- Produce fabric to design specifications (some limits here, please check with our Contact section for details)
- Work with clients to create design ideas
- Australia – sample clients
Client 1 Emily and Paul Fashion PopUps, Melbourne
This social enterprise wanted to set up a small shop developing popup shop options for a range of independent dress designers in the central business district in Melbourne, and was looking for a shop fitout that demonstrated Victorian company-based decorative features. We provided cushions, curtain ties and window decorations with hand-drawn illustrations that were screen printed by another local studio.
Client 2 Russell Native Nurseries, Bilby
John Russell wanted to sell Australian-themed quality accessories in his nursery. We designed bottlebrush and Grevillea illustrations on a range of placemats and coasters, cards and cushions.
Partners/collaborations in South East Asia
We are now trading and talking with partners in Vietnam, Thailand and Cambodia. Our aim is to develop socially responsible relationships with these countries and complementary businesses.
In Vietnam, our major partnership discussions are with:
VINATEX The Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (VINATEX) is one of Asia’s leading textile and apparel groups, and has a relationship with more than 400 organizations from 65 countries. It was established in 1995 as a result of merging textile and apparel state-owned enterprises. …VINATEX member companies account for 9 percent of the Vietnamese textile and apparel industry’s total labor force and 18 percent of total exports. (see http://www.textileworld.com/Issues/2012/September-October/Features/Vietnam-A_Small_Tiger_Is_Growing_Up for more details)
We anticipate that there will be two-way export and development opportunities with our African-themed range, and some of the enterprises represented by VINATEX.
In Thailand, we have investigated bulk order production with cotton specialist Thai Textile Industry Public Co., Ltd. (see http://www.cottonusasupplychain.com/member-mills?millid=37) and Nan Yang Textile Group http://www.nanyangtextile.com/aboutus.php who have a strong environmental vision. Their products range from pieced-dyed,
yarn-dyed to printed fabric.
In our development of the South East Asian market we are looking to establish socially responsible relationships which reflect our values. We wish to take on the challenge of social issues in these markets, while still approaching the relationship with commercial outcomes. This is about setting up an organization that works in commercial ways to focus on improvements in human and environmental wellbeing, instead of focus on profits for shareholders.
