Our vision as a social enterprise:

• We have a belief in our business as supporting the provision of skills and entrepreneurial small business skills to local women.
• We deal commercially, that is, most of our income is from trade not donations.
• The majority of our profits are returned to the business to support our social mission.

Textiles are not only functional, developed for covering ourselves, but also aesthetic and cultural. They may provide coverings or decoration, indicate status or prestige, or have a social significance that reflects the culture of a society. Material Designs is a part of our local Bilby region, and our textiles reflect that society as well as the greater Australian multicultural communities.
