Morgan Pinder

Morgan’s thesis focuses on the ecoGothic manifestations of nature and the nonhuman in videogames, examining what those manifestations can tell us about the eco-anxieties and ecophobia of the ‘late’ Anthropocene. Her research focuses on the narrative legacy of the Gothic and the effect that the ludology of video games facilitates the retelling of ecoGothic stories. The project requires immersive player observation in addition to more traditional literary research methods.
