Academic Staff Capacity Building Support Services outside the Faculty of Business and Law
Faculty Learning Innovations work collaborative with a range of other Deakin support services provide teaching, learning and curriculum support. These support services are listed below:
Learning@Deakin – Deakin Learning Futures (DLF) is Deakin University’s central teaching and learning division. Faculty Learning Innovations work in collaboration with DLF to support our faculty, school, course and unit teams with delivering relevant and responsive support in digital learning, academic leadership and course enhancement.
TeachAssist – The Teachassist website houses a rich online repository of resources relating to curriculum design, using educational technologies and improved teaching practice.
The Library – through the Faculty Liaison Librarians provide a range of support services for the Deakin Business School and Deakin Law School relevant to teaching and learning, including: linking e-resources via CloudDeakin, incorporating digital literacy into courses or units; Digital Scholarship 2020 program supporting academics discovering global information sources and tools to provide an enriched learning experience for students; open access, licensing and copyright advice when preparing materials for teaching; and personalized learning support services, Liaison Librarians can are pull together discipline specific resources for teachers and units/courses. Graduate Employment – Graduate Employment division provide a range of graduate recruitment services to connect students with employers, develop graduate talent to make students more marketable, and career education to develop career ready graduates.
Academic and Peer Support for Deakin staff only (Deakin log in required) – provide support to faculty staff with developing and integrating study and language skills in the curriculum. Students also have access to a range of Study Support resources available.
eSolutions – eSolutions IT helpdesk provide assistance with technical issues and problems about computer, network and software support for staff and students. Also, team of eSolutions staff provide Teaching and Learning space Master classes including classroom and seminar equipment, and Smartboard training.
