Kristen Iliopoulos

Kristen Iliopoulos is a Melbourne-based writer, academic, and artist. Her research explores many facets of gender politics in film and television, as well as investigating the intersection between gender and alternative subcultures. 

Kristen is currently completing a Master by Research at Deakin University entitled Truly Outrageous: The gender politics of Christy Marx’s ‘Jem’, examining issues and representations of gender and its intersection with race, class, sexuality, and disability in the 1985 animated TV series ‘Jem’.
