The Human Rights Council of Australia Inc is a private non-government organisation which promotes understanding of and respect for human rights for all persons without discrimination through adherence to the International Bill of Rights, and other human rights instruments, internationally and within Australia. HRCA is a resource site that can lead you to human rights NGOs for potential placements.

Human Rights Internet
HRI maintains an extensive database of human rights organisations around the world. The Human Rights Organisations database is a comprehensive listing of institutions working in the field of human rights. The database currently holds over 11,000 records and can be searched by name, type, issues addressed, countries the organization works in and other such criteria.


ALMT Legal

Human Rights Watch
Human Rights Watchis an international human rights monitoring and advocacy organization known for its investigations, reporting, high-profile advocacy campaigns, and its success in changing the human rights-related policies and practices of governments and international institutions.
HRW offers academic internships at both the undergraduate and graduate level in their regional and thematic divisions, as well as the organizational support departments. Undergraduate internships are primarily administrative and clerical in nature, but other projects can be assigned as they arise and match the student’s interests and abilities, including research, drafting documents, translating, and helping researchers prepare for missions.

International Movement Against All Forms of Discrimination and Racism (IMADR)
(IMADR) is an international non-profit, non-governmental human rights organization devoted to eliminating discrimination and racism, forging international solidarity among discriminated minorities and advancing the international human rights system. IMADR advertises internships in the Geneva office, usually in conjunction with significant UN conferences and events for the intern to attend and report on.
