Students seeking assistance from a student adviser
Handy teaching Powerpoint slides: Where to get help at Deakin
Teaching is underway for T2 and your students are just starting to get their heads around unit requirements for the trimester. Much information has already been circulated to them about the wealth of student support services that are available to them at Deakin. But in the early stages of the study period, often students don’t realise that they need or should seek help, and which service may be of most value.
To make navigation easier, the Inclusive Education team have put together key student help services as a ‘just-in-time’ handy Powerpoint presentation: Where to get help at Deakin (PPTX 212KB). You can add this to your class and seminar slides and cloud unit sites.
We’ve also provided the information as an accessible Word document for those who use assistive technologies. Download the alternative format: Where to get help at Deakin (DOCX 37KB).
Take a few minutes to remind students about the stellar array of support that Deakin provides. This is particularly useful at pressure points during the trimester when several assignments may be due.
