Teaching support
Academic and Peer Support (APS) collaborate with Faculty teaching staff to scaffold student writing and communication skills in units and courses. The APS team can provide academic literacies development that embeds targeted support in your unit or course to assist in the development of students’ reading, writing and oral communication skills. See the Academic and Peer support blog for further information about how the team can assist you in your teaching.
Teaching academic literacies: A transition toolkit
Academic Support has a suite of customisable teaching and learning activities available to all teaching staff to assist them in integrating academic literacies into their unit or course. Resources are based on best-practice collaborations between unit teaching staff and Language and Learning Advisers (LLAs) in the embedding of academic literacies within curricula, particularly in the lead up to early written assessments.
