Heritage and Displacement
Intersections of Exile, Culture and ConflictInterviews
As part of this project, interviews will be conducted with people of Iraqi, Syrian and Palestinian background who have been affected by conflict and displacement.
Interviews will also be conducted with representatives of relevant government departments, community organisations, NGOs and international institutions working on heritage, displacement, humanitarian response or post-conflict reconstruction.
The interviews focus on how people understand and value heritage, including historic places, religious sites, monuments, memory, music, cultural practices and connections to home. They also explore experiences of heritage loss, attitudes towards reconstruction, and the ways governments and international organisations respond to heritage in conflict and displacement.
Interviews usually take around 30–40 minutes and can be conducted in person or online in your preferred language. All interviews are voluntary, confidential and non-identifiable. This means that your name will never be used in any publication, report, presentation or other materials.

كما ستُجرى مقابلات مع ممثلين عن الجهات الحكومية المعنية والمنظمات المجتمعية والمنظمات غير الحكومية والمؤسسات الدولية العاملة في مجالات التراث والنزوح والاستجابة الإنسانية وإعادة الإعمار بعد النزاعات.
تركّز المقابلات على كيفية فهم الناس للتراث وتقديرهم له، بما في ذلك الأماكن التاريخية والمواقع الدينية والمعالم الأثرية والذاكرة والموسيقى والممارسات الثقافية والارتباط بالوطن. كما تستكشف تجارب فقدان التراث والمواقف تجاه إعادة الإعمار والطرق التي تستجيب بها الحكومات والمنظمات الدولية للتراث في سياقات النزاع والنزوح.
تستغرق المقابلات عادةً ما بين 30 إلى 40 دقيقة، ويمكن إجراؤها حضورياً أو عبر الإنترنت باللغة التي تفضلها. جميع المقابلات تطوعية وسرية ولا تطلب الإفصاح عن هوية المشاركين. هذا يعني أن اسمك لن يُستخدم أبداً في أي منشور أو تقرير أو عرض تقديمي أو أي مواد أخرى.
