The Global Physical Literacy Action Framework was created to unify global efforts, and provide clear guidance for the future of physical literacy and meaningful physical activity practices worldwide. Key experts of physical literacy came together to define the goals, action, principles, and ways required to move physical literacy forward.
The comprehensive discussion process has led into five interlinked action areas: advocacy, practice, education, assessment and research. This framework is an invitation for all sectors to work together for nurturing quality physical activity experiences for all.

Researchers at Deakin University’s Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition (IPAN) have led the development process. This website exhibits the international statement of the Global Physical Literacy Action Framework, offers translations into five widely spoken languages, presents the consortium with all members who have co-developed the framework, shows the societies that have supported the development process, and hosts communication material and videos explaining the Global Physical Literacy Action Framework.
