Our partners
ERIC was developed by Deakin University in partnership with Victoria’s Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS), Queensland’s Youth Empowered Towards Independence (YETI) and the Hunter New England Health Service (NSW) in 2015. Subsequent partnerships in 2017 have been conducted with the Department of Justice and Attorney General, QLD.
ERIC has been piloted and evaluated by researchers from The Deakin Centre for Drug, Alcohol and Addiction Research and the Centre for Social and Early Emotional Development: Dr Kate Hall, Dr Angela Simpson, Elise Sloan, Dr George Youssef, Associate Professor Petra Staiger and Dr Richard Moulding. ERIC’s implementation model has been evaluated in partnership with the following researchers: Professor Amanda Baker (University of Newcastle), Dr Alison Beck (University of Newcastle), Dr Natasha Perry (Hunter New England Health Service), and Dr Karen Hallam (YSAS).
The authors recognise the contribution of Elise Sloan, Bonita Berridge, Lucinda Leggett and the ERIC project team. We extend our gratitude to Andrew Bruun, Dominic Ennis, Damian Philp, Alan James and the staff at Birribi Residential Rehabilitation, Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS), Victoria. Thank you to Genevieve Sinclair, Melanie Spencer and the staff at Youth Empowered Towards Independence (YETI), Cairns, QLD.
Thank you for the valued contribution of our pilot sites in regional Victoria (YSAS, Grampians Community Health, Ballarat Community Health, Nexus Primary Health and Gateway Health) and NSW (Hunter New England Health Service). The authors would like to acknowledge the philanthropic support of Helen Macpherson Smith Trust in the regional Victorian piloting of ERIC.
